Protect workers’ rights

  • Growing up in a proud union household, I know the importance of protecting workers’ rights. We need leaders in Albany who are advocates for the middle-class and working families. I am working to address wage stagnation and have advocated to finally pass Carlos’s Law to improve workplace safety. Additionally, I am an ally for union workers in the Assembly, fighting to protect fair wages and collective bargaining rights, especially in light of the Supreme Court’s decision in the Janus case.
  • Many women in our communities work in construction, drive our buses, and work in people's homes which means they are not granted the same protections and rights as those working in an office. I have introduced legislation that will create workplace protections for women in non-traditional workplaces and make sure that no matter the industry, reasonable accommodations are mandatory.
